About the Top 5:
I started my career in a small country club in Tucson Arizona in 2006, and moved to Denver, Colorado in 2009 and began competitions as a professional flair bartender. I moved to Las Vegas in 2013 and opened mutiple bars and restaurants including Guy Fieirs Vegas Kitchen and Bar and Vanderpump cocktail lounge.
I hold multiple certifications, including Certified Spirits Specialist, WSET 2 in Wine and Spirits, Diageo Top 100
I'm a self-taught cocktail architect from Cincinnati, Ohio, in my twelfth year behind the bar. Inspired by many things, such as fresh, local ingredients, travelling, either down the street or across an ocean, books, classic and contemporary art, and a deep love of theatre.
I live in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. I am a photographer, artist, avid reader, and of course, a lover of quality libations (both drinking-responsibly-and creating them). I first fell in love with the world of spirits while on a trip to Germany. There I began to taste and learn about the wonderful world of wines, beer, and various fruit liquors.
Shortly after returning to the US, I joined the local chapter of the United States Bartender Guild (USBG) and began attending every bartending and spirits class, tasting, and brand sponsored event I could, as well as listening in whenever a spirit's guru held court at a local establishment.
Nigal Vann is a bartender at The Berkshire Room in Chicago and founder of Vannity Cocktails. In the last 15 years he's been working in bars that focused on just about every genre it comes to cocktails and spirits. He's traveled all over the country participating in cocktail competitions and working behind the scenes at many cocktail conferences, like Tales of the Cocktail.
With the changes 2020 has brought to the hospitality industry, he is making it his mission to mentor new bartenders and virtually educate consumers in a fun and unique way.
I've been bartending for more than 10 years, shaking cocktails in USA, Lithuania, Cyprus and Shanghai. Creating and making cocktails is my passion, and I always do them with love, passion and energy! I started in a small cafe by doing more coffees than any other drinks, but my ambition to become a real bartender grew very quickly by studying, learning and reading books of bartending craft and tastes. I love participating in bartenders competitions because it makes you grow faster, learn new skills and implement interesting ideas through the drinks.
In my life, I've already done around 40 competitions, and I'm always ready to do some more!
