About the Presenters:
Makeda Gebre
@Makeda Gebre was in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, eight as a Bartender. During COVID, her career took a pivot and she found herself working with a financial education firm teaching people how money really works. Makeda’s mission is to end financial illiteracy, not only in difficult/unforeseen times, but because we all deserve to be financially comfortable now and in the future.
David Neeley
David Neely is from Macon, Georgia, a graduate of Mercer University, and a U.S. Army veteran. He is an Executive Bourbon Steward and host of Grapes, Grains, and Conversations, a networking group for Professionals who discuss local issues while enjoying wine and spirits at The Dunhill hotel in historic Uptown Charlotte, NC. Professionally, David leads Forward Observations, the advanced planning group for JD Financial Group and Associates in Charlotte, NC. In leading Forward Observations, David curates a network of tax professionals, attorneys, real estate professionals and more, to work with each stay abreast of the issues faced by clients.
David’s goal is to not only collaborate with other professionals, but to educate clients so that the comprehensive strategies he delivers instill confidence in an ever-changing financial world. He lives in Pineville, NC with his wife, Shana.
